VISTA, CA : Two killed in Vista crash on Highway 76 on Monday, 21st January 2019

Two people were killed Monday evening in Vista after a chain reaction crash on Highway 76.

According to CHP officers, the accident happened just after 6:30 p.m. Sgt. Michael Morrin says the cars stopped suddenly, leading to the crash. A black Hyundai sedan ended up smashed in between two other cars.

The driver and a passenger inside the Hyundai died on scene. A third person inside that car was rushed to Palomar Medical with major injuries.

The drivers of the other two cars stayed on scene. The official cause of the accident is still under investigation but CHP says speed, drugs and alcohol are not factors.
