Easton, WA : Quincy woman injured in Interstate 90 crash near Easton Sunday morning, February 5, 2017

A 22-year-old Quincy woman was injured when the pickup she was riding in was struck from behind after its driver stopped on Interstate 90 Sunday morning, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Laura Santos Alonzo was with Guillermo Aguilar Sanchez, 28, of Everett in a 1999 Chevrolet pickup around 10:40 a.m. when Aguilar Sanchez stopped in the eastbound lane on the freeway at Easton, according to a State Patrol news release. The Chevrolet was hit by a 2006 Ford pickup that was traveling behind it, the release said.

Santos Alonzo was taken to KVH Hospital in Ellensburg, where she was treated and released.

Neither Aguilar Sanchez nor the Ford’s driver, Daniel Anderson, 31, of Denton, Texas, was injured, the State Patrol said.

Troopers said Aguilar Sanchez is expected to be cited for negligent driving. Intoxicants were not a factor in the crash, the release said.
