Joplin,MO : Four injured in traffic accidents on area roads on January, Thursday 11th 2018

A Seneca woman sustained moderate injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 4:45 p.m. Thursday on U.S. Highway 60, about 2 miles west of Neosho in Newton County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Lynda L. Swem, 75, was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Joplin.

She was driving a westbound vehicle that was struck head-on by an eastbound vehicle driven by Deanna M. Weston, 40, of Neosho, the patrol said.

• Two Lamar teens were injured in a single-vehicle accident at 3:05 p.m. Thursday on Route EE, 4 miles northeast of Lamar in Barton County, the state patrol said.

A passenger in the vehicle, Keaton M. Kirby, 14, was taken by ambulance to Barton County Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries. The driver, Chase D. McKibben, 18, was taken to the same hospital with minor injuries.

Their eastbound pickup truck ran off the road into a ditch, the patrol said.

• A 19-year-old man from Pineville sustained minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 6:50 p.m. Thursday on Rains Road, a mile south of Pineville in McDonald County, the state patrol said.

Kaleb A. Buttry was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin by private vehicle.

Buttry was driving a westbound pickup truck that ran off the road and struck a utility pole, the patrol said.
