ST. LOUIS, MO : Man dies after being struck by hit-and-run driver while crossing street in south St Louis B on Tuesday, 7th May 2024

A pedestrian was fatally struck Tuesday in a hit-and-run in south St. Louis.

Officers with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department responded shortly after 5 p.m. to the crash on the 4400 block of Chippewa Street, near the border of the Bevo Mill and Tower Grove South neighborhoods. The man was trying to cross the street when he was struck by a 2018 Nissan Altima that then fled the scene, police said.
