Vineland, NJ : 52-year-old Philadelphia man died following a car crash on Route 55 on Monday, October 13, 2014

A 52-year-old Philadelphia man died Monday after striking the rear of a tractor trailer on Route 55, New Jersey State Police said. Alberto Montanez was driving his 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan southbound on 55 when he drove off the road and collided with a tractor trailer that was parked on the shoulder of the road, according to authorities. Montanez crashed into rear side of the 2007 Volvo tractor-trailer near exit 35, at 9:29 a.m. police said. Montanez was then flown to Crozer-Chester Medical Center, in Pennsylvania, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries sustained in the accident, according to authorities.
