DECATUR, AL : 1 dead, 1 injured following wreck on Point Mallard Parkway on Wednesday, 31st July 2019

Officials have identified a woman who died in a three-vehicle wreck on Point Mallard Parkway, Wednesday morning.

Decatur police investigators say Malloree Teague, 27, was driving a Dodge Challenger that hydroplaned and crossed into oncoming traffic.

Emergency crews took her to Decatur Morgan Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

According to officials, another person received non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle.

Police asked drivers to avoid the area of the parkway near the Refuge Headquarters, just south of Country Club Road.

The Decatur Police Department, Decatur Fire & Rescue, and First Response EMS all responded to the scene.
