Fort Lauderdale, FL : A 26-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Sunday, October, 22nd 2017

A 26-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle crash early Sunday morning shortly after midnight in West Palm Beach.

Merlin Ariel Diaz Martinez, of West Palm Beach, died at 12:46 a.m. when the car in which he was a passenger was hit by a pickup truck at the intersection of Haverhill Road and Purdy Lane, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.Felix Erlin Leyva, the driver of a Dodge Ram truck, was heading west on Purdy Lane toward Haverhill Road when he ran a red light and caused the crash, deputies say.

Steve D’Haiti was heading south through the intersection of Purdy and Haverhill Road in his Dodge Charger, with Martinez and Rey Felix Batista.
