Rollover crash in downtown Nashville sent an off-duty officer to the hospital

A rollover crash in downtown Nashville sent an off-duty officer to the hospital.

The crash happened around 4:15 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Rosa L. Parks and Church Street.

Police at the scene said a driver ran a red light and hit the officer, who was driving his personal vehicle.

The officer was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. His identity was not released.

Police said they do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
