Three injured in Rochester collision

Three people were transported to the hospital Tuesday night after a two-vehicle collision at the junction of Pickering and Tebbetts roads.

Police say the none of the injuries sustained were life-threatening.

The accident, which occurred at approximately 6:15 p.m., involved a pickup truck and a car.

Police say Wayne Roberts, 65, of Farmington, was traveling north on Pickering operating a Ford F-150 pickup truck toward Gonic and Stephen Taylor, 78, of Rochester was traveling south on Pickering driving a Buick Lesabre.

Taylor made a left turn onto Tebbetts Road when he collided with the Ford F-150, according to police.

Roberts and an adult passenger in his truck were transported to Wentworth-Douglass Hospital by Frisbie EMS. Taylor was also transported to WDH by Frisbie EMS.

All of the vehicle occupants were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.

Both vehicles suffered extensive front-end damage and were towed from the scene.

Alcohol or drugs do not appear to have been contributing factors, police say.

Rochester Police, Fire and Frisbie EMS responded to the crash, which remains under investigation.
