Pratt, KS : Five Pratt teens escape serious injury in two-vehicle accident on Wednesday August 31, 2016

Five local teens escaped serious injury following a two-vehicle accident at Second and High Wednesday afternoon in Pratt.

The accident occurred when 16-year-old Breanna Bosley was westbound on Second Street in a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze and failed to yield to a 2001 Chevy Cavalier driven by 17-year-old Ricky Whitfield that was southbound on High Street, said Pratt Police Cpl. Mike McAbee.

The Cruze broadsided the Cavalier on the driver's door. The Cavalier spun around and came to a stop facing north while the Cruze came to a stop facing west. Whitfield and passengers 17-year-old Brianne Kresyman, 14-year-old Angelina Day and 16-year-old Trenton Hunter as well as Bosley were all wearing seat belts and all refused transport although some did go to Pratt Regional Medical Center with family members. The accident was reported at 3:51 p.m.
