Authorities say a person is dead following a one-car crash in the Hudson Valley.
The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office says the crash occurred just before 11 a.m. Monday in Red Hook near the Columbia County line. Authorities say a vehicle traveling southbound on Route 9 veered off the road and struck a
tree.
An unconscious person was found trapped in the vehicle and was later pronounced dead. Authorities didn’t immediately identify the victim.
Route 9 was closed for three hours as investigators combed the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
