Monett, MO : Two Verona residents were injured in a wreck on Sunday, July 16, 2017

Two Verona residents were injured Sunday in a wreck at 3:25 p.m. on Highway 248, four miles west of Jenkins.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Maynard Jackson, 49, of Verona, was driving a 2004 Dodge truck eastbound when his vehicle left the roadway, overturned and struck a sign.

Jackson and a passenger in his vehicle, Debra Earhart, 61, of Verona, each suffered minor injuries. Earhart was transported to Mercy Hospital in Cassville. Jackson refused treatment at the scene.

Both were wearing safety devices, and the vehicle was totaled.
