Ionia, MI : Two seriously injured in two-car accident on Sunday,15th April 2018

The Ionia County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-car accident at 4:52 p.m. on Morrison Lake Rd., south of W. Grand River Ave. in Saranac, on Sunday, April 15, 2018.

The investigation revealed that a white Chevrolet Malibu was traveling southbound on Morrison Lake Rd. when the driver lost control and crossed the center line, colliding with a northbound GMC Sierra pickup truck.

The driver and passenger of the Malibu, a 28-year-old white male and a 32-year-old white male, were transported to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital, with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the GMC pickup, a 37-year-old white male was transported by family to Sparrow Ionia Hospital for precautionary evaluation.

Assisting on scene were Saranac Fire, Life EMS and Hoppes.
