Altenburg,MO : Two-vehicle crash in Hannibal sends four to area hospital on October, Tuesday 10th 2017

Four people were transported to an area hospital Tuesday morning following a two-vehicle collision in eastern Hannibal.

According to the Hannibal Police Department (HPD), officers were dispatched at approximately 11:20 a.m. to MO 79 (Mark Twain Avenue) and the eastbound exit of I-72 on the report of a two-vehicle accident, one of which had rolled over.
Police report that a 1998 Cadillac Deville, driven by an 83-year-old adult from Shelbina, rear ended a 2008 Honda Ridgeline driven by a 64-year-old man from Elk Grove Village, Ill.
As a result of the impact the Cadillac flipped and ended up on its roof. The occupants of both vehicles had to be extricated by Hannibal Fire Department personnel.
The drivers and passengers in each vehicle sustained injuries. All four were transported by three Marion County Ambulance District ambulances to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill., for treatment.
The accident remains under investigation, according to HPD.
