Marysville,CA : Two seriously hurt after two collisions on Highway 20 on October, Monday 30th 2017

Two people suffered major injuries Monday morning after two vehicle collisions on Highway 20, west of South Butte Road.
A 48-year-old Yuba City woman drove off the right shoulder of the road and overcorrected at about 5:55 a.m., causing her Chevy Envoy to roll, according to California Highway Patrol Sgt. Evan Beaver. He said they are unsure what caused her to veer off the shoulder of the road.
The Chevy was blocking the westbound lane when a passerby stopped and attempted to help the woman out of the car. They both were then struck by a passing Toyota Highlander, driven by a Yuba City man. Beaver said it is believed the Highlander was driving the speed of normal traffic.
The woman was life-flighted to UC Davis Medical Center and the man, 55, of Auburn, was transported to Rideout Memorial Hospital by ambulance. The victims' names are not yet available.
Beaver said the CHP doesn't suspect drugs or alcohol were related in either collision, and no arrests have been made. The scene was cleared by 7:30 a.m.
