Auburn,ME : Police identify 21-year-old killed in Auburn crash on October, Tuesday 17th 2017

A 21-year-old man was killed in a crash Tuesday afternoon in Auburn.

A car, being driven by Cody Jacques, of Westbrook, was traveling northbound along Washington Street when it drove into the back of a tractor-trailer turning left into Ness Oil and then hit another car, according to police.
Jacques was killed instantly, police said.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, who is from Charlotte, North Carolina, was not hurt.

Jacques’s passenger was taken to Central Maine Medical Center with minor injuries.

Traffic along Washington Street was closed for several hours following the crash.
