Hale County, AL : 1 dead in Hale County vehicle-semi tractor trailer crash on U.S. Highway 70 on Wednesday, 22nd May 2019

One person is dead after a pickup truck vs. tractor-trailer crash Wednesday morning in Hale County.

At approximately 10:30 a.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to reports of the crash on U.S. Highway 70 in Hale County, just east of the Lamb County line, said DPS Lt. Bryan Witt.

According to Troopers on scene, a pickup truck crashed into the tractor trailer.

It was not immediately clear what caused the crash, which was still closed off by emergency crews through much of the afternoon as officials investigated the collision.
