HESPERIA, CA : 22-year-old Hesperia woman killed in crash on Saturday, 17th November 2018

Authorities identified a 22-year-old Hesperia woman killed in a single-vehicle collision here over the weekend.

California Highway Patrol officials said Amber Stanford was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash late Saturday night.

Authorities believe Stanford was driving her 2002 Ford Explorer at a “high rate of speed” east on Rock Springs Road, just west of Deep Creek Road, just after 11:30 p.m.

“Due to the curve in the road and the speed of the Ford, the vehicle drifted across the westbound lane of traffic, collided with a raised concrete curb and overturned several times down an embankment,” officials said.
