Charlotte, NC : Pedestrian was dead after he was hit by a car on Thursday morning October 9th 2014

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police were investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian in northwest Charlotte Thursday morning. Officers responded to the Brookshire Boulevard at Hoskins Road after they said a woman was hit by a car just before 6:30 a.m. Police said Lisa Faith Mobley, 53, was headed to work and trying to catch a bus. She was hit near a crosswalk, but was crossing against the light. Jeremy Miller, 37, was driving a 1996 Toyota Tacoma when he approached the intersection at Hoskins Road. Officials said he had a green light and told police he did not see Mobley. Officials said they didn't expect any charges in the case. Police said Mobley was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorites had closed the outbound lanes of the Brookshire for roughly three hours but have since reopened the road. Source : Officials ID woman hit, killed by car on Brookshire Blvd.
